The degree of advocacy required to survive a six month hospital stay and two major surgeries equipped me with the tools I’d need to support my children throughout their lives—weaning a feeding tube, sleep training, and behavior challenges in school. I hope to offer guidance on ways to help those facing challenges of their own become fierce advocates for their loved ones.

Every time I read it, I get teary eyed. The book can be read or relatable to anyone of any age. I love how the author writes about their true journey throughout their hard time when finding out their daughter had a heart defect and how they all had to be warriors just as teeny tiny truncus was
