Terry and I met in college during a Biology department social event. Here’s a secret: I didn’t plan on going to the event; even protested! But I’m very thankful to my friend for dragging me out of the bed that evening :) Terry overheard us talking about going to get dinner, so he playfully asked me to bring him some food back to campus. I did and the rest is history. We have always thrived working together - it’s probably due to all the late night study sessions. Life was easy then (in hindsight of course)! After graduating Dental and Optometry school, we entered the “real world” of jobs, mortgages, kids and all their challenges, and military deployments. Some situations are harder than others, but we’ve learned that TOGETHER we can conquer ANYTHING! Throughout these trials, the most important lesson I’ve learned is this—trust in God’s plan; it’s always better than mine! I lean heavily on my faith because the abundance of grace our family has experienced has brought me peace even in our darkest moments.
